Each office is autonomous, has its own board and is a registered non profit within its country of origin. The Ripples Managing Director sits on all three boards to ensure consistency of standards, governance, values and mission across all sites.  

Accountability of US Office:

The role of the US office as the global headquarters is as follows:

  • Set guidelines for operations, farming and production processes 
  • Enforce compliance with any and all guidelines
  • Provide access to resources including capital, expertise, and land
  • Remove barriers to success through co-designed interventions
  • Follow the guidelines below

Operating Guidelines:

To be part of Ripples, all offices must follow the guidelines below:

  • Registered legal non profit in country of origin
  • Women-led board (men can sit on the board)
  • Comply with local laws
  • No child labor
  • Comply with financial audits and training programs
  • Follow defined sustainable and organic farming practices
  • Follow defined production process and quality guidelines
Production Guidelines:

Ripples is committed to the highest standards of quality and safety including those defined by the FDA.  To ensure these commitments are consistently met across all sites, production processes and quality control measures are documented and taught.  A quality supervisor is assigned for every 10 women to ensure protocols are met.  All products are lab tested and certified.
